Currently, three different processes are state of the art in the FGD industry: dry, semi-dry and wet methods.

The desulphurization media involve limestone, seawater, etc., so corrosion free scale formation free and abrasion resist became the important standard of the chose material. Whenever use the traditional CS rubber lined pipe or Fiber glass reinforced pipe in the absorber tower, cycling system, lime liquid system, and 3 D isometric drawing must be drawn and corresponding pipe and fitting shall be prefabricated in the manufacture. This restricts the flexibility and progress of the installation. The above-mentioned two pipes have no suitable or reliable valve can be use. The import Ti disc butterfly valve is much more abrasions resist than the local valve, but the price is very expensive. All of these make the FGD scrubbing pipeline maintain a high cost.

Now GF Shanghai is able to produce 400mm PP-H pipe in China. Our largest PP-H piping system can be up to 600mm. As the substitution of the CS rubber lined pipe or Fiber glass reinforced pipe, GF PP-H pipe has the advantage of lower price, light weight, corrosive and abrasive resist. Tailed made fabrication of PP-H piping system on the job site offers flexibility and fast installation comparing with other traditional piping systems. As a system solution, GF 567 PP-H butterfly valve and 037 rubber lined butterfly valve can also provide our customer high quality and reliability with low coat comparing with TI butterfly valve Plastic piping system as the cycling and spray line in FGD project has already been sound and comprehensive technology in European countries.
